For me, this is the place to go in the Harz Mountains if you want to enjoy a delicious currywurst or homemade cake. The two owners are super friendly, and you feel very comfortable here.

As simple as it looks... the cake simply makes everything else fade away! Besides, the owners are incredibly sweet, friendly, and always in a good mood. We love going there, enjoying (of course) the cake and coffee, the beautiful view, and the feeling of being "among friends."

Just a simple kiosk with a camping vibe. And maybe that's the point. The tables are close together, and you strike up conversations unusually quickly for Lower Saxony, if you want to. For years, I've been taking people there who haven't been before. They're ALWAYS thrilled. Seriously, if you're from the area, you absolutely have to go. It's a local highlight. If the kiosk is too crowded, just head on to the inn. Relax and unwind here in the region.

Friendly service...food is delicious...coffee is always a good idea...beautiful view of the reservoir...always worth a stop...

All in all, it's fine for a kiosk, but the garden furniture could do with an update, a new tablecloth, new pallets to replace the seating, some renovations to the surroundings, more maintenance. The prices are reasonable, there's a small selection of hot meals and classic dishes.

Super currywurst/fries and incredibly delicious cake! Absolutely recommended!!! Again and again!! Really great, just don't let the ambiance put you off, the view of the reservoir is simply beautiful.

Polite and friendly owners who gave us a warm welcome! Seating with a view of the reservoir and the water. And we had a very tasty bratwurst there!

Great little snack bar right by the Innerste Dam. It's a hidden gem, as it's not visible from the road. Friendly owners, good food, and a beautiful view of the reservoir...or whatever else there is. Always happy to come back!
